Team Zapco has great showing at 2010 MECA World Finals
Team Zapco has strong showing at 2010 MECA World Finals
On October 16th and 17th 2010 in Lebenon TN Team Zapco once again made us all proud. With an outstanding 13
competitors in the lanes this year at finals for Zapco the team brought home an outstanding 21 awards. The Team
fought hard all year and it showed with the scores at finals that were some of the closest all year. Many classes
being decided by only a few tenths of a point. All of us at the factory would like to thank each and every one of the
Team members for there continued commitment to the brand. Also a special note with MECA moving west we had
some West of the Mississipi Team members join us at finals this year. Brian Souter from OK and the Wired 4
Sound crew from Anthem AZ made it all the way to TN for finals. Congrats to all the Team members and once again
thank you from all of us at Zapco. Please enjoy the pictures below and results.

Big OKI wins BIG in Germany
Michael Mueller wins dB Drag World championship Bass Race
In October 2009, Michael Muller from Germany won a world championship title in the dB Drag Bass Race
150.0-159.9 dB. Now not only did he get the title but also a custom embroidered leather jacket and a Super bowl
style ring for this accomplishment. The award was given out during the European Spring break competition in May
of 2010 by the president of dB Drag Wayne Harris. Just two people in the world have won such a title in this class
and Michael is one of them. All of us at Zapco would like to congratulate Michael on such an outstanding
accomplishment and would like to thank him for being such a great ambassador for the Zapco name in Europe.
For those who do not know about Michael, aka the Big Oki, and his vehicle here is a little information. The vehicle
that has done such an outstanding job promoting Zapco is a VW Touran with 5 Zapco 4Kw's. Yes folks that is not
a typo, it has 5 Zapco 4kw's and a slew of Zapco preamps. One 4kw runs Michaels mids and tweeters and the
other 4 are ran to 8 Atomic APX 15" subwoofers. The Vehicle is not setup entirely for SPL, it is a very musical
system that not only has won SPL competitions but also many Sq. competitions. All together Michael has taken
home over 150 first place trophies in Sq. and SPL since 2007.
Once again we are very proud that Michael is part of Team Zapco and we can not thank him enough for all he has
done for us. Please enjoy the pictures below.
Team Zapco Wins Big at MECA World Finals
Football has the Superbowl, Baseball has the world Series, Sound Qualitly and Sound Presure Level have the
MECA World Finals. This is the event the competitiors have worked all year long for. Re-build after Re-build,
endless hours of tuning and hours of driving to events all years long to obtain enough points for the invitation to
finals for the chance to win the World Championship Trophy for their class.
There are so many great stories that can be told about this years MECA World Finals. The Veteran, Kirk Proffitt,
going after his 6th world championship in SQ with his legendary Acura TL. Steve Cook, an acomplished SPL
Veteran, going after the ultimate SQ award. Scott Paterson making his way up through the ranks all year to take
home top honors in his class. Matt Roberts going after his 4th world championship with a system that he rebuilt
just 2 weeks before finals. Rick Washabaugh who competes in both SQ and SPL going after his 3rd consecutive
Best of the best of show. Robert Petty trying to repeat his World championship performance from last year. Mike
Baylor improving his scores all year in his class to compete at finals. Randy Eddy going after his first MECAÂ
world championship in his newly built BMW with the new Zapco 2.0A amplifiers. Steve McIntyre with his epic battle
for install championships. Jennifer Washabaugh and Chris Releford go after the SPL world championships in there
respective classes using Zapco's SPL products. Harlan Owens competing in the extremly changling Stock Class.
Not being out done by there parents Andrea McIntyre and Galeb Gregory competing with I-force in the MECA Kids
SPL lanes.
We can not thank them enough for all there hard work and time spent in representing our company. There
dedication to Zapco and to competition is like no other. We are truly proud of each and every one of them for all
they have done and look forward to the 2010 season.
