Enriched Mobile Electronics and Downtown Autobody of Santa Rosa, Ca team up to attend the 7th Annual Peggy Sue Car show.

This past weekend Enriched Mobile Electronics and Downtown Autobody of Santa Rosa, teamed up to attend The 7th annual Peggy Sue car show in Santa Rosa, Ca. The Show was a four day event that where entries got to participate in Cruises, Poker Runs, Chili Cook offs, and Vendor displays. Over the four days, four different venues were used to hold the event. Bob and I attended the show Friday through Sunday and we were very impressed with the event as a whole. All styles of cars were welcome at the show from hot rods, street rods, customs and stockers. All were impressive in there own light.

Enriched and Downtown did not disappoint either with the four impressive cars they displayed in there booth. First off was a 1969 Chevelle, nicknamed “RATBITE”, displayed a full Zapco system consisting of 2 DC reference amplifiers, Reference components front and rear and a Comp 12” sub. Not only were spectators impressed with the system but the Blown 502 under the hood had people taking a second look. Also on display from the two companies was a 1956 Ford Thunder Bird. Now  what the team at enriched did with this install was make it completely stealth. The inside of this vehicle was completely stock. The CD player and changer were mounted in the trunk and controlled via a wired remote that tuck up under the dash when not in use. For amplification the T-bird uses a DC650.6 to power 4 5.25” speaker in the cab, 2 6.5 speakers in the rear and one IDQ 10” sub that takes care of the low end duties. And lets just say that the black paint job on this T-bird is incredible.  Next car on display in the booth was an insane Pro Street Olds 442. This thing is just awesome. The 442 sported a full I-force system that consisted of an I-450 running I-force speakers front and rear. Also on display on Friday and Sunday was the Infineon Raceway FJ.

We just want to take our hats off to Enriched Mobile Electronics and Downtown Autobody for turning out such beautiful cars, and to the promoters of the Peggy Sue car show for such a wonderful event. Please Enjoy the following pictures.

A Gem From the Islandsa

On June 2, 2007 attendees at the Good Guys hot rod show in Pleasanton Ca got a special treat from the Hawaiian Islands, a Yellow 56 Chevy pickup sporting a ton of extras. Not saying there was not a ton of impressive cars at the show but this 56 most definitely stood out with its beautiful yellow paint job, huge fuel injected 502 big block Chevy, and not to mention a stellar Zapco/Alumapro stereo system. The system Consists of a DC Reference 650.6  running a Pair of Zapco CK 13.2 components active in the kicks and a pair of Alumapro Alusonic 8” in the doors.

The system was designed and built by the Zapco Rep of the Year, from Hawaii Edric Taura. The Truck was built and painted by the owner Darren Iseri of Oahu. The Truck will be featured soon in Street Truck Mag.

Coming from two Vehicle Builders, Bob and I must say this is one of the finest most detailed builds we have seen in a long time. Great job Darren and Edric. Cant wait to see what you guys build next.

Enriched Mobile Electronics of Santa Rosa, Ca builds Demo Car for Infineon Raceway

Enriched Mobile Electronics of Santa Rosa, Ca has teamed up with Infineon Raceway to build a state of the art demo vehicle. This car will be on display at all the Infineon Raceway events as well as numerous car shows that the team at Enriched attends throughout the year. The vehicle is a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser that the team at Enriched decked out with a full Zapco System. The system consists of Zapco I-Force 6 ½  components front and rear Running off a Zapco Reference 360.4. The low end was taken car of with a Zapco I-Force 10” running off a Zapco Reference 500.1. The System also consists of a Playstation 3 that is mounted in the rear tail gate, that can be played on using the 23” LCD that is mounted in the rear of the vehicle. Great Job guys!!

Zapco Speakers Win at North Ga Nationals

All though Team Zapco was only 3 strong at The North Georgia Nationals this past weekend the team still managed to do some damage. Competing in the show from Team Zapco were Matt Roberts, Joe Karphus and Mike VanMol. The Team ended the day with two First place trophies, a Second place trophie and a best of show. Another high point was Matt and Joe were able to bring home the two highest point total for the show out of all competiors. Team Zapco At

MECA Judges Training and The Regional 2007

The Judges training went excellent! Steve (President of MECA) Decided to use three Zapco equipped cars for the Judges Training. Matt Roberts's Truck was used to demonstrate the MODEX Class (formally Custom), Joseph Karpus's Tacoma was used in the Modified Class and Kirk Proffitt's TL was used in the Street Class (Formally Stock). The team Zapco members walked all the judges through vehicle verification, described the system and pointed out what modifications put each car in each class. After each car was put in the right class Matt and Kirk proceeded to sit in there cars with each judge and walk them through what they were suppose to be listening for.

For the competition side of things here is how the show ended up

Matt Roberts: SQ-1st Modex class

Steve McIntyre: SQ-3rd Modified + Install 1st (highest score of the day)

Joseph Karpus: SQ-1st Modified

Kirk Proffitt: SQ-1st + Best of Show.
